—Are you photogenic?

—Con el tiempo he aprendido a serlo. Creo que ser fotogénico no es algo que dependa tanto de nuestro físico sino de nuestra actitud frente a la cámara.

—How did you get in the photography industry?

—Poco antes de terminar mis estudios de fotografía un compañero me enseñó webs de fotógrafos que hacían un tipo de fotografía que yo nunca había visto antes. Cuando me di cuenta que se trataba de fotógrafos de boda me quedé muy sorprendido.
A partir de ese momento empecé a interesarme por la fotografía de bodas.

—What are the most important components of a good photo in your opinion?

—Luz, composición y emoción.

—Do you love traveling?

—Sí, mucho.

—What do you like most about your profession?

—Poder dedicarme plenamente a lo que me gusta. Creo que soy un privilegiado.

—What do you like least about your profession?

—La cantidad de horas que tenemos que pasarnos frente al ordenador.

—What will be the future of photography?

—Nadie lo sabe. Mientras la gente siga casándose la fotografía de boda no desaparecerá.

—What is special in the photography genre you specialise at?

—Poder transmitir tantas emociones a la vez en una sola imagen.

—How do you handle criticism?

—Siempre de forma constructiva.

—Are there any trends in photography?

—Hay muchas tendencias aunque el fotoperiodismo es lo que ahora está más de moda.

—What should be the criteria for a customer to choose a photographer?

—Elegir al fotógrafo que sea capaz de emocionarte con sus imágenes.

—What things are to be avoided when shooting?

—Estornudar! No solo te sale la foto movida sino que también pones perdida la pantalla LCD :)

—What details that usually pass unnoticed can a photographer notice?

—Diferentes historias que suceden en un mismo momento y un mismo lugar y cómo se relacionan entre ellas.

—What influences the value of a photo? What are its elements?

—El valor dependerá de lo que suceda en la foto, de la dificultad para haberla logrado, de la originalidad, el punto de vista, etc.

—What person can be the symbol of the 21st century in your opinion?

—Muy pronto aún para elegir una figura carismática del siglo XXI. Acabamos de empezar :)

—Who do you want to shoot?

—A quien le brillen los ojos.

—Do you have any professional taboos?

—Estoy abierto a todo.

—What do you worry about, and why?

—No estoy preocupado por ningún tema en especial.

—What is the most impressive moment in your life?

—El nacimiento de mis hijas.

—If you were a cartoon, book or movie character, who would you be and why?

—Cualquiera de los héroes de ficción. Me gusta eso de luchar por conseguir que venza el bien sobre el mal.

—Who inspires you in your life and why?

—Me inspira la gente auténtica, la que busca mejorar su vida y la de los que los rodean.

—How do you define success? How do you measure it?

—El éxito es estar bien conmigo mismo y creer que lo que hago tiene un sentido.
Veo el éxito como una sensación personal más que como una cuestión económica o de popularidad.

—Would you rather be liked or respected?

—Sentirme respetado.

—What is the biggest mistake you have ever made at work?

—Haber desperdiciado algún tiempo de mi vida haciendo cosas que no me aportaban nada.

—When you're going to travel, what do you take with you and why?

—La cámara siempre va conmigo. A veces he soñado que iba a un viaje y cuando llegaba a mi destino me daba cuenta que no tenía nada con lo que hacer fotos. Una pesadilla en toda regla...

—Is there anything that you wish you hadn't bought among the gadgets that you own? Why?

—No, suelo pensar bien si necesito lo que compro.

—How do you educate yourself to take better pictures?

—Entrenando el ojo y viendo muy buena fotografía que me ayude a mejorar mi cultura visual.

—A un fotógrafo que no hace bodas. Joe McNally

—What is the one thing you wish you knew when you started taking photos?

—No intentes gustar a todo el mundo.

—What do you want to say with your photographs?

—Quiero reflejar en mis imágenes esos momentos de la vida en los que somos más felices. Busco la alegría, la felicidad y el amor continuamente.

—What motivates you to continue taking pictures?

—Toda la gente a la que hago feliz con mis imágenes.

—Should your parents have been more or less strict?

—No, hicieron lo mejor que supieron hacerlo.

—If you could go back in time, what would you do differently?

—Seguro que no volvería a rellenar este cuestionario...uff, mira que es largo :)

—De momento estoy bien en el mío, gracias.

—Me tira el del murciélago...

—Por todos aquellos que ponen barreras a la libertad de las personas.

—Viajar, leer, estar con mi familia...

—Mmm, tendré que preguntárselo a ellos.

—No.

—Si.

—Estoy muy bien donde vivo aunque lo importante no es tanto el sitio como la compañía.

—Cuando acabe con él te lo cuento.

—Que no se vendan por cuatro duros. Ellos son los primeros que tienen que saber valorar su trabajo. Si no lo hacen ¿cómo esperan que los demás lo hagan?
