—Are you photogenic?

—No lo se, me hago muy pocas fotos, que otros lo digan.

—How did you get in the photography industry?

—Por casualidad, empiezas con una boda y terminas dedicandote en exclusiva a ello.
Ademas de terminar un época de mi vida como reportero de noticias.

—What are the most important components of a good photo in your opinion?

—Ha de ser honesta, equilibrada, bien expuesta, bien encuadrada y sobre todo que en si misma cuente una historia y emocione.

—Do you love traveling?

—Muchísimo

—What do you like most about your profession?

—Conocer gente nueva e interesante, viajar y ser testigo de lo que va ser seguramente uno de los dias mas importantes de la vida de dos personas.
Si se piensa bien somos unos privilegiados.

—What do you like least about your profession?

—La falta de profesionalidad del sector.

—What will be the future of photography?

—No lo se, es dificil hacer un pronostico teniendo en cuenta lo rapido que va la tecnologia hoy en día.

—What is special in the photography genre you specialise at?

—Es un campo que abarca diferentes campos (moda, fotoperiodismo, producto, etc) por lo tanto es muy complicado.
Es lo que el Pentatlón al atletismo sabes de todo pero no eres un primera figura en nada.

—How do you handle criticism?

—Pues las criticas las tienes que tomar dependiendo de quien te las haga.

—Are there any trends in photography?

—Bueno parece que nos movemos mas por el fotoperiodismo, pero creo que es cuestion de cultura y de gustos.

—What should be the criteria for a customer to choose a photographer?

—Pues me parece muy importante que tengan feeling con el fotografo, conozcan a fondo su trabajo y sobre todo que haya mucho respeto.

—What things are to be avoided when shooting?

—Traicionarme a mi mismo.

—What details that usually pass unnoticed can a photographer notice?

—Pues muchísimos, el ojo de un buen fotografo no ve la realidad que tiene a su alrededor de la misma manera que el amateur.

—What influences the value of a photo? What are its elements?

—Me remito a la tercera pregunta.

—What person can be the symbol of the 21st century in your opinion?

—No creo mucho en simbolos, seguramente el actual Papa revolucionara una parte importante del mundo.
Sin duda aquel tambien que solucione el drama de este siglo que son las migraciones.

—Who do you want to take photos of?

—A todo aquel que admire y quiera que le fotografie.

—Do you have any professional taboos?

—Nigunos.

—No cabe en esta entrevista.

—What is the most impressive moment in your life?

—Me lo reservo para mi.

—Don Quijote de la Mancha... por hacer patria.

—Who inspires you in your life and why?

—Mi hijo por motivos obvios.

—How do you define success? How do you measure it?

—El éxito es mantenerse en el tiempo, para mi esos son los verdaderos triunfadores.

—Would you rather be liked or respected?

—Sentirme respetado siempre.

—What is the biggest mistake you have ever made at work?

—Son tantos que seguramente sea la complilacion de todos ellos. Afortunadamente he crecido por ellos y con ellos.

—When you're going to travel, what do you take with you and why?

—Digamos que no concibo ningun viaje sin mi camara dentro de la mochila que tengo desde hace 25 años.

—Is there anything among your gadgets that you wish you haven't bought? Why?

—Que va!! importantisimos todos, los que nunca llegue a usar y los que uso siempre.

—How do you educate yourself to take better pictures?

—Intento hacer workshop, ver a fotografos que no son de bodas, mucho cine y estar atento a esas fotos que hacemos tan solo con nuestros ojos.

—Whose work has influenced you most as a photographer?

—Me gusta mucho Fer Juaristi. Lo admiro mucho.

—What is the one thing you wish you knew when you started taking photos?

—Para mi una parte dificil fue ver la luz, de otra manera, como si estuvieramos en la pelicula de The Matrix.

—What do you want to say with your photographs?

—Ser honesto.

—What motivates you to continue taking pictures?

—Me motiva que es lo que más me gusta en el mundo y muchas veces la suerte de tener unos clientes maravillosos.

—Should your parents have been more or less strict?

—Mis padres siempre me han apoyado mucho en todo.

—If you could go back in time, what would you do differently?

—Nada

—Si usaran Nikon o Canon.

—Who are your heroes?

—Todos los personajes anonimos que hacen cosas increíbles de forma altruista por los otros.

—Por los políticos.

—Disfrutar de la familia y si tengo oportunidad, viajar.

—Que se dediquen a otro campo de la fotografía y sino me hacen caso, que trabajen muy duro, no hay ningun plugin mágico que haga buenas fotos.
