  • Ciprian Vladut Bukareštas, Rumunija
    • Kokie turėtų būti kliento kriterijai, kad pasirinkti fotografą?

First of all, it's important that the bride and groom identify themselves with the photographer and his work, the choice should be made by whether they consider he is the one who's worth recording their lifetime memories. Then, they should absolutely watch an entire wedding shot by the one they chose. I like being approached by future weds who know a thing or two about photography and who got their mind set on what they really want.

    • Kaip jūs atsiradote fotografijos industrijoje?

I started taking pictures in 2000 and shooting weddings in 2008. At first, I didn't want to do weddings, I thought it would diminish my work. But I started anyway and found the most challenging environment, I discovered that no matter what type of photography you do, you can always reinvent yourself and find new ways to tell a story. Especially when you meet extraordinary people all the time :)

    • Ar esate fotogeniškas?

I consider I ain't, but it so happens that on occasion some other photographer catches the good/bright sight of me.

    • Jūsų nuomone, kokie yra svarbiausi geros nuotraukos komponentai?

First & foremost, the people involved and their mood (if you're shooting people), then the light (I began ”seeing” the light after years of shooting) and the decisive moment. I don't agree that the quality of a photograph is not important, but it indeed comes in second after the feelings it produces.

    • Ar mėgstate keliauti?

So much that if it would be possible I would be traveling all the time.

    • Kas šioje profesijoje Jums patinka labiausiai?

The diversity – today I'm shooting a wedding, tomorrow a baptism, after tomorrow a concert, then a family portrait, a corporate event or some landscape. It's what keeps me connected all the time.

    • Kas šioje profesijoje Jums patinka mažiausiai?

      Having too much to edit.

    • Kaip susitvarkote su kritika?

I'm all in for constructive criticism, don't like destructive one. That's why we're here on My Wed, right? To constantly learn from other photographers and document ourselves about where we are as wedding photographers. I, for one, would like to hear more criticism about my work and where to improve. Here's an idea: you could implement a section where each photographer could post one photo/week for critique :D

    • Kokių dalykų turi būti vengiama fotografuojant?

Getting in front of the photographer.

    • Kokia bus fotografijos ateitis?

I think it is constantly evolving and that we'll always see changes for the good. We'll always have trends that come and go, the important thing is to know who you are and do what you really like, not necessarily follow the hype.

    • Kuo ypatingas fotografijos žanras, kuriame jūs specializuojatės?

Oh, everything about it is special. I must admit I suffer when someone refers to it as a banality, thinking that ”real artists” don't do wedding photos. Special is meeting new people, seeing new places or facing new challenges. Besides war photography, I find it the most challenging type, you get to meet all kinds of situations during one day: different light every minute, you get to shoot outdoors and indoors, in plain sun or in the shadow of a tree/building, inside a cave or on a mountain top etc. etc. Need I say more?

    • Kaip jūs atsiradote fotografijos industrijoje?

I was an architect and my parents want me have a good job with high salary but i don't want to wake up every morning and go to the office so i quit my job and do what i love.

    • Ar esate fotogeniškas?

I just capture people’s reactions and emotions while celebrating love. I don't think to much about Photogenic.

    • Jūsų nuomone, kokie yra svarbiausi geros nuotraukos komponentai?

      -Moment
      -Information
      -Light
      -Composition
      -Creativity

    • Pirmiausia ir svarbiausia – ką galite įvardinti kaip geriausią fotografą jūsų mieste? :)

The best photographer doesn't exist, only styles! Today there are so many photographers, and each one has their own style. As long as you work hard to constantly grow and push yourself then you will be happy, your clients will be happy and you will become a great photographer.

    • Kokie turėtų būti kliento kriterijai, kad pasirinkti fotografą?

To select the photographer via his/her work and style and not the price, with out forgetting that they must connect.

    • Kaip jūs atsiradote fotografijos industrijoje?

You could say that it was hidden away inside me for a long time. Without realising I have always had a camera to hand since I was little. Love my dads Canon 650 EOS and always used to take it off his hands. Never thought that it would turn out to be something that I loved doing.

    • Ar esate fotogeniškas?

To be honest, no not really. That is why I hide behind the camera :P

    • Jūsų nuomone, kokie yra svarbiausi geros nuotraukos komponentai?

A good photo has to have life in it. If a photo does not have a penetrating look, or the calmness of a smile, then for me that photo is not natural enough and that is what I always look for in my wedding photos.

    • Ar mėgstate keliauti?

I love new and unknown territories, this make you push your skills and ideas to the limits and keeps you improving. I have several trips lined up this year and cant wait to work somewhere new. And if it is for vacactional purpose, then without a doubt, but I can assure you that my camera will never leave my side.

    • Kas šioje profesijoje Jums patinka labiausiai?

The reaction when I hand my work in and the happiness it brings. I will love photography no matter what, and will always love it no matter what people say about my work. All photographers want to exceed their expectations, improve, update themselves, master new techniques, and we are very perfectionist when it comes down to our own work, so it is a fantastic feeling when others congratulate you on your efforts.

    • Kas šioje profesijoje Jums patinka mažiausiai?

Nothing, I came from a financial work environment with a stressful background to something that I dreamt about doing for a long time. And when you manage to do something you dream about there will be some down moments but you remember what you are doing and why you are doing it, and that motivating crawls right back in and you thrive again.

    • Kaip susitvarkote su kritika?

Constructive criticism helps me improve, mature and evolve. There is always a positive way of looking at things, and criticism can be broken down and used in a positive manner.

    • Kokia bus fotografijos ateitis?

Well who knows, it is constantly changing and there are so many different styles and techniques to choose from. But hopefully, it will become less fictional and more natural.

    • Kokių dalykų turi būti vengiama fotografuojant?

Pressure on the bride and groom. In order to take the best and most natural shots we need the bride and groom to be as relaxed as possible. And also mobile and table devises. There are numerous of occasions when the groom could not see the bride walking down the isle due to the amount of people leaning out with their phones and tables.
