—Miten päädyit valokuvausalalle?

—By accident, I was first a commercial photographer, a friend of mine told me he needed a second shooter so I did. The very first click got me and now I'm a full time Wedding photographer and loving it.

—Oletko valokuvauksellinen?

—Sure I'm or at least I think I'm, if you feel it you have it.

—Soul, Light and Emotion.

—Tykkäätkö matkustamisesta?

—If I could wake up in a different city every day that would be awesome.

—The people, I love chatting with them and make them laugh.

—Make a selection for a small story in my blog.

—Great, is good to hear opinions but everyone has a different style.

—You will never see me being intrusive I love to be close but I know how and when.

—Mikä on sille valokuvauslajille erityistä, johon olet erikoistunut?

—Families are everything they are the medular issue in my photography I always try to involve everyone, love to see them smile, watch the though strong man dropping tears, a mother hugging her daughter stronger than ever.

—Onko valokuvauksessa trendejä?

—Film look and filters but I try to avoid them. I not saying that I don`t use them.

—Haluaisitko antaa vinkkejä aloitteleville valokuvaajille?

—Study, practice, be humble, open to the world!

—Miten päädyit valokuvausalalle?

—Probably in the same way of most of us: a friend asked me to shoot her wedding, then, since I had already a big passion about photography, after I saw that I enjoyed a lot to capture real moments, I decided-well actually together with my husband Graziano Guerini- to follow that path (step by step).

—Oletko valokuvauksellinen?

—sure ;)

—Mikä on sinusta tärkeintä hyvässä kuvassa?

—I think there is not an exact answer, everyone likes a photo because of many reasons, also personal reasons given by personal taste.
Personally, using of course a good technique, I aim to capture always the emotions, the real moments, that's what really matters in a perfect service in my opinion.
And in the Creative Sessions I aim to create beautiful photos, so I take care of the esthetique by following my personal sense of taste, but always trying to give some emotions to the viewers.
Also controlling lights and shadows is very important, often essential.

—Mistä pidät eniten ammatissasi?

—Shooting weddings in different countries, with different traditions, it's very interesting, and we often work between Italy, Austria and Hungary, but not only.
And this job allows me to meet new people, of course, and this is also a beautiful side of being a wedding photographer.
And being able to give to these people memories they will be joyful to watch in the future, well, that makes me proud.

—Kuinka suhtaudut kritiikkiin?

—I'm always studying, always trying new things, and always following photographers whose works I love, and I'm always ready to learn from them.
There is always to learn something new, and there is always someone who can teach me something. So, I usually accept critics if well motivated :)

—Mitä haluaisit muuttaa itsessäsi?

—Minkä kriteerien perusteella asiakkaan pitäisi valita valokuvaaja?

—First of all, it's important that the bride and groom identify themselves with the photographer and his work, the choice should be made by whether they consider he is the one who's worth recording their lifetime memories. Then, they should absolutely watch an entire wedding shot by the one they chose. I like being approached by future weds who know a thing or two about photography and who got their mind set on what they really want.

—Miten päädyit valokuvausalalle?

—I started taking pictures in 2000 and shooting weddings in 2008. At first, I didn't want to do weddings, I thought it would diminish my work. But I started anyway and found the most challenging environment, I discovered that no matter what type of photography you do, you can always reinvent yourself and find new ways to tell a story. Especially when you meet extraordinary people all the time :)

—Oletko valokuvauksellinen?

—I consider I ain't, but it so happens that on occasion some other photographer catches the good/bright sight of me.

—Mikä on sinusta tärkeintä hyvässä kuvassa?

—First & foremost, the people involved and their mood (if you're shooting people), then the light (I began ”seeing” the light after years of shooting) and the decisive moment. I don't agree that the quality of a photograph is not important, but it indeed comes in second after the feelings it produces.

—Tykkäätkö matkustamisesta?

—So much that if it would be possible I would be traveling all the time.

—Mistä pidät eniten ammatissasi?

—The diversity – today I'm shooting a wedding, tomorrow a baptism, after tomorrow a concert, then a family portrait, a corporate event or some landscape. It's what keeps me connected all the time.

—Mistä pidät vähiten ammatissasi?

—Having too much to edit.

—Kuinka suhtaudut kritiikkiin?

—I'm all in for constructive criticism, don't like destructive one. That's why we're here on My Wed, right? To constantly learn from other photographers and document ourselves about where we are as wedding photographers. I, for one, would like to hear more criticism about my work and where to improve. Here's an idea: you could implement a section where each photographer could post one photo/week for critique :D

—Mikä on ehdottomasti kiellettyä kuvauksessa?

—Getting in front of the photographer.

—Mikä on valokuvauksen tulevaisuus?

—I think it is constantly evolving and that we'll always see changes for the good. We'll always have trends that come and go, the important thing is to know who you are and do what you really like, not necessarily follow the hype.

—Mikä on sille valokuvauslajille erityistä, johon olet erikoistunut?

—Oh, everything about it is special. I must admit I suffer when someone refers to it as a banality, thinking that ”real artists” don't do wedding photos. Special is meeting new people, seeing new places or facing new challenges. Besides war photography, I find it the most challenging type, you get to meet all kinds of situations during one day: different light every minute, you get to shoot outdoors and indoors, in plain sun or in the shadow of a tree/building, inside a cave or on a mountain top etc. etc. Need I say more?
