We love the Destination weddings, it allows us to know incredible stories like that of Catie and Roger, which is one of the most peculiar that we have had to narrate to date. They contacted us from Miami, married in San Sebastian and did it alone ... without guests, without godparents, just the two of them and their enormous desire to spend the rest of their lives together.Roger is Cuban and Catie from South Carolina, so it was very difficult to reunite all his loved ones in one place, so they decided to make a madness and come to marry San Sebastian.The day before the wedding, we met with Catie & Roger in the cafeteria of the Hotel Maria Cristina, and nerves were in full bloom. Both told us their story with a huge smile and it was noticeable that they were very excited. In addition, the celebration was double, the day of their wedding was also the birthday of Catie.Roger has a wine and liquor company in Miami, and travels often to Spain to buy his products. When we asked them why they had chosen San Sebastian to celebrate their wedding, Roger's response moved us greatly, "of all the cities I have visited in Spain, Donosti fell in love with me above all."The preparations began in one of the suites of the Hotel Maria Cristina. Although they were married alone, their relatives and friends were very present at all times via Facetime, even at one point of the day they provided with them by videoconference. They were married in the church of Santa Maria and it was an intimate and very emotional celebration.After making a few photos and enjoying the gastronomy of our city in the form of delicious pintxos, we returned to the hotel for Catie to change the dress, where we took the opportunity to finish our work by making a few more photos before they went to dinner at the restaurant Rekondo.We will always remember this wedding with a huge smile on our faces. We hope your love lasts, as Roger said, until the malecon is dry!
