Hatfield House Wedding with Victoria and Rupen, Hertfordshire.

I was super excited to be chosen to photograph Rupen and Victoria’s Hatfield House wedding last summer. It was the first time I’ve photographed a wedding here however, I’m very familiar with the venue. Having spent many a happy day here with the kids in the past I know it well, the added bonus is that Hatfield House is literally 5 minutes from where I live. What’s not to love about being local?!Hatfield House is a Great Venue so Close to London.Easily accessible via train or road (it’s just off the A1) it’s the perfect spot to choose for your big day. I loved photographing in The Old Palace, a stunning 15th century medieval banqueting hall. This place is steeped in history and the atmosphere just oozes from the thick tapestries that adorn the walls. Outside the delightful formal gardens are great for creating both portraits and reportage wedding photography. The Lawn House, a short walk from The Palace serves as a great place for bridal prep. Or groom prep for that matter too!Reportage Wedding Photography. Both Victoria and Rupen were adamant that they didn’t want to interrupt the flow of their day having to stop to pose for photos. My style of reportage/documentary wedding photography suited their needs. Capturing the true essence of your day in an informal yet soulful way is what floats my boat! I want to see real reactions, honest moments and to make photos that make you feel like you are back in your wedding. After all, they are all you are left with after the day is done. Mind you, I did mange to sneak 10 minutes with them to capture a few moments spent alone, their first as newly weds.Hatfield House meets Bollywood Ballet. One of the highlights of the day was the Bollywood ballet, another first for me. Full of energy and colour, I defy anyone not to be moved by it. The dancers put on two shows throughout the wedding breakfast, entertaining both young and old. Victoria and Rupen’s day was the perfect fusion of cultures. Bringing together family and friends to enjoy the simple things in life. Friendship, family, good food and fun.Hatfield House Wedding Photographer. Are you looking planing your own Hatfield House wedding?
