You're never to old for fairytales.
Text: Once upon a time girls walked around in long dresses with lots of ruffles and puffed sleeves. It was an enviable time. And if you've ever watched Anne from Green Gables, you’ll know exactly what I'm talking about. Many years ago, I found this enchanting dress at an online site that sells secondhand items.
On February 18 – 2021, the weather was unabashedly foggy. The only sensible thing I could think of, on this foggy day; was to snatch the dress, my camera and daughter. We drove to the nearest forest (mosaic landscape) where you can find, among other things, untamed oak scrub. It's always a huge pleasure to walk around in there. Everything grows wild. My image does not contain photo manipulation. My idea about this picture was a tale of something a little mysterious. Dream-like. Strange. Odd. Youthful. Another age mixed with the present. I hope you’ve already formed your own narrative around the image, before you read mine. I'll bet your story is almost better than mine, right?
