Elizabeth and Mike arrived to Cartagena a year ago to spend a vacation time together and get to know the city, as they were choosing where their wedding would be. You’ll see, they have a tradition with their friends which is that when one of them gets married, the wedding is a destination wedding. So they have toured several places in the world (and especially the Caribbean), celebrating love.It should not surprise us that they fell in love with the walled city quickly. Cartagena is a city whose romantic atmosphere is only surpassed by the stories that took place in it more than 300 years ago. Its streets are not only full of old colorful corners, but also excellent restaurants, shops and hotels, which make it the perfect place for any destination wedding.After being chosen by them to be their wedding photographers, we had the honor of meeting them on a rainy afternoon, on the day we would do their engagement session. And the rain was never a problem, Elizabeth and Mike are that kind of couples who appreciate each circumstance and embrace it in such a way that you can not see it as something bad. And the result is one of the most beautiful we’ve had.For the day of their wedding, our suspicion that they would be one of the couples we most remembered with love became a reality. The tranquility with which they took everything (even when the rain was repeated that day!), The love between them, the joy of all their family and guests, and their total confidence in our work were our fuel to make these photographs, which they are nothing else, than the reflection of who they are.
