Lidia & Ionut - Bergen Norway

I recently had the opportunity to photograph a wedding in Norway, Bergen, wedding of Lidia & Ionut. The bride and groom living there and they wanted me to be the one who will provide the images that they remember fondly over time. It was a unique experience, at least until now, experience that I would be willing to repeat welcome anytime.I arrived Thursday night in Bergen, with a shirt on me. Outside there where about 2 degrees celsius. Lucky me! Lydia’s brother already was waiting with engine warm. After a few minutes drive we arrived and unloaded the equipment to make sure it was ok.The next day we walked around the city photographing places that I have been shown to be representative by the groom’s brother. I usually make a little story with pictures seemingly insignificant, at least for the moment. The idea is that the whole wedding is a story that need to be shaped by a few important details like buildings, people doing something special, details. I remember that day were held preparations for Norway’s National Day and I was very happy because it was an exciting opportunity for me and for they. Accommodating took something because the night kept somewhere between 3-4 hours. Light really was not a problem and when I was in „recognition” I said I would not use the flash at all like 5 minutes then to be asked by someone in the church, no flash photography at least during the service. The basic idea was that people needed quality memories but did not require my presence and I appreciated this thing.Unfortunately, their photo session of the next day lasted about an hour because they had flights to honeymoon so I had to move quickly in several locations in downtown and later to climb with their special train Fløibanen funicular. I realized that the photo session the day before the wedding allowed us a variety of frames even though time was short. Up there, the view was amazing but i already knew the day before. Somehow, that I was in ” recognition ” has allowed me to do my kind of sketch and think about these locations for the wedding photo session.
Making a brief analysis of the images to their wedding day, I felt some emotions so strong between them, parents and others present that I said that my mission was completed successfully there. Photo session was actually a game because important moments were the preparations and their religious ceremony at Baptist Kirken.I heard stories about children, I was fishing for sei fish and salmon, I walked around and ate good pizza. Finally, I was so glad and grateful to be Lidia and Ionut’s wedding destination photographer for their Norwegian Wedding in Bergen because it was a day full of emotions and happiness.
