Same sex wedding

Trey and PJ exchanged beautiful personal promises and words of love in the delightful seaside setting of Amalfi, during a crisp and bright October day. After which, the newly-weds’ celebratory champagne toast, on the sea-view terrace of their suite at the NH Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi ,was set against a stunning skyline. The hotel perches on a cliff, 80 metres above sea-level and, notably, offers stunning views of the Amalfi Coast. The name Convento di Amalfi means ‘Amalfi convent’. The hotel was a 13th-Century monastery and consequently, it features an Arab-Norman style church and cloister.Later, Trey and PJ visited the atmospheric and enchanting cloister. Then, they wandered along the pretty bougainvillea-draped walk of the monks, before leaving the hotel for the picturesque nearby town of Atrani.Atrani is an enchanting little fishing village, which has retained its authentic traditional character and appeal. As such, it features narrow alleyways, climbing staircases and pretty antique housesOn arrival, the couple enjoyed a refreshing cup of espresso on Atrani’s main square. Then, Trey and PJ wandered through the streets of the tiny town, soaking up the local atmosphere. After which, they headed to the pretty little beach and jetty.Amalfi
Then the dapper grooms ended their romantic passeggiata (stroll) in the bustling town of Amalfi. The town was once a powerful Maritime Republic – the Duchy of Amalfi. The centre of the town is full of vibrant colour and surrounded by dramatic cliffs and spectacular coastal scenery. The majestic Duomo di Amalfi (the Cathedral of St. Andrew) overlooks Amalfi’s main square, the Piazza del Duomo. Trey and PJ walked up the steep and sweeping 62-step staircase to the Duomo. The cathedral’s façade is of striped marble and stone with open arches and lace detailing. Finally, the couple walked, hand-in-hand, down to the seafront and onto the promenade, to enjoy the spectacular and romantic views.
