Story of Lufat and Swatantra

“One day he asked me, "Will you marry me? Will you be there beside me for the rest of
my lifetime?" I was dumbfounded! How would that be true! I’m a Muslim girl from
Bangladesh while he is an Indian Telegu boy! And how can we make a family homes
away in USA!But we made it happen. And finally here we are. A Happy Family – Lufta”❤ Story of Lufat and Swatantra ❤It was 2012. Lufat had just passed her high school examinations from Dhaka and had come to the US for
her higher studies. Even being a lively girl from the bloc, she was getting bored coping up with a new
environment. She was simply anxiousness trying to make new friends and finding a place to fit in – yes
we all get there sometime! Her life was confined between the campus playground, lecture halls, and her
residence. One day she was invited in an Indian-Bangladeshi community program. Friends were getting together
doing fun stuff and taking photos in different postures. Lufta felt this was the perfect place to cool off.
She was home ways from home; a familiar environment where everything now made sense. In the beauty of the moment, an Indian Telegu boy named Swatantra asked her to take some photos.
She noticed that the boy was imitating her posture – kind of making fun of her. She was annoyed and
uttered "why is this boy imitating my posture!”
Even so, she reluctantly took his photos and sent them to his facebook ID; and just like that, a bridge
was built, and a beautiful story born – The Story of Lufat and Swatantra. From then, they met again in
another program. This time round Lufat started conversation; they talked about several things and passed time. Lufat
couldn't find a better topic so she asked Swatantra if he had watched some popular Hindi movies, and
just like that, they hit it off. Swatantra confessed that he hadn’t watched most of them so he could get
her attention more.Lufat was astonished about this and she thought to herself 'how come being an Indian he didn't watch
such good movies!' This triggered her curiosity more.As days passed Lufat was getting curious about Swatantra. And the more they met, the more they got
attracted to each other. And like the opposite poles of magnet they couldn’t have enough of each
other’s company. However, their affectionate remained untold as none of them wanted to make the
first move. Maybe they feared the uncertainty.Lufat was fond of coffee. One night she was out for coffee but found the cafeteria closed. She told
Swatantra that how it was the perfect night for coffee and that she couldn’t have a cup because the café
was closed.Swatantra didn’t want to see her down, so he gave her a surprise. He made himself a flask of coffee and
met Lufat. Lufat was really amazed. She realized that she could go her whole life with a guy who could
take care of her with the smallest things that really matter in life. Every single day since then she could
get more out of thinking about Swatantra.Yes, she realized something is happening from within her; and yet she feared the more. 10 months on,
academic program was coming to a completion and it was the time to get back home in Bangladesh.
Swatantra saw her off. In the airport they said goodbye with a full of chest hurt. But they didn’t stop talking. Swatantra called frequently. He always asked her to come back again
whenever he hanged up the phone. They finally accepted their fate – they were in love. However, they
realized it would be hard getting married as their religion and culture were different. All the same, they took it on! And after many struggles their families finally accepted their union. They
finally got married in Bangladesh in Muslim rituals. Then they flew to Andhra Pradesh
Jangareddygudem. There they again completed rituals in Telegu fashion.Love conquers all, so they say! And as it turned out, this is how these two love birds could overcome
their long wait to be together. And as fate would have it, every moment of their breathtaking story was
held in its freshness.NijolCreative was there with cameras, not capturing the moments, but holding the memories for an
awesome story that generations would cherish. Ask no more, here is the story’s ending and every
moment held. Don’t you see the affectionate moments?
