The emotional wedding of Christina and Nick, Trizonia Island and Cape Sounio

It was the perfect summer day for a wedding at Trizonia Island, Greece. Cristina and Nick tied the knot at the small but in front of 250 of their closest family and friends, including both their 100-year-old grannies.

They wedding took place at the Orthodox Church of St. George at Trizonia, where our beautidul bride Cristina came with an old sailor’s sailing boat, decorated amazingly by the gorgeous Varvara, planner/ designer and owner of the brand ‘Shabby Chic’.

The fashion was an eclectic mix of our theme, ‘The Island Wedding’.
Keeping it simple, because as the couple said ‘Less is more’, Cristina in her ‘Inmaculada Garcia’, rocked the amazing Barcelonian Tailor as all brides would love to. Such a beauty could not wear less than an elegant pair of Jimmy’s and rocks from the famous Greek Jewelry ‘Kousvelaris’. Such fashion needs the perfect perfume much so mr. Tom Ford was there for her.

Nick stayed classic, as every groom should, wearing a classy pair of Hugo Boss and walked in Church’s.

Oue mermaid Cristina, who came by the sea, when firstly looked at Nick in front of the church, holding his bouquet, couldn’t feel more sure.

‘ I wanna be hugged by him until we get old like our grandmothers, Mary and Sofia.’

Long white drapery and strung lights by ‘Wedding Planner Shabby Chic’  overlooked the couple and their guests as they danced the night away at the amazing Island Bar at Trizonia.

A few weeks later, the Nick shared with me in tears.

‘This is where I proposed to her, exactly one year ago. We should get back at Cape Sounio and the Ancient Temple of Poseidon, and have our portrait session there.’

Such love stories are those that made me into fine art photography and weddings. I couldn’t say no to such a proposal, because I knew that this portrait session had an important meaning, and in my opinion, this is how couples should choose the ideal place to shoot their wedding portraits. They should choose by getting adviced from their hearts.
