Natasha and Kristofer - 'Local Heros'!

The small village of Pennan on the coast of the Moray Firth in Scotland was one of the locations used in the film 'Local Hero' (yes, the one with the famous red phone box). So when Natasha and Kristofer asked me to be their wedding photographer at the Pennan village hall I was very excited. Everything was to be in the village, at the hall and on the beach and harbour so once I had descended the very steep road to the village street I parked the car and went to find Natasha getting ready in a house nearby. I love this part of the day, all the excitement of what is to come and a chance to get to know the bride and her family. I look for images that reflect this special time. Natasha and Kristofer had put a huge amount of effort into making sure that the day would be enjoyed by all their guests by decorating the hall themselves, providing loads of prosecco, the dinner was a mobile pizza oven and an ice-cream bicycle outside! They had even made signs from old wooden pallets so everyone knew where to go and what was happening.After the ceremony, we took a walk along the village street and out onto the harbour walls for some quiet time away from the crowds to get some more personal photos using the magnificent seaside setting as the backdrop. This was one of the most enjoyable weddings of 2018 for me, so relaxed, and that comes from the joy that Natasha and Kristofer shared with everyone.
