Annaliese & Marco

The story of Anneliese van Isschot and Marco Vernaza began in Buenos Aires, Argentina, four years ago. He had just arrived from Australia to work and do her PhD while she was finishing her university degree. An acquaintance of both put them in contact, and after talking all night, they agreed to go out and have a drink together. As soon as they saw each other, on September 18, the crush arose, and the next day, they already made an important decision: to start a relationship. Three months later, they moved in together. The proposal, as they tell us, "was in the most beautiful place in Argentina, Bariloche." Anneliese and Marco had arranged a ski trip there, and on the last day of their getaway, they went to see the Lynch refuge. In this cabin, with Argentine Patagonia at her feet, Marco asked Anneliese to marry him. "(Marco) He meets a photographer and takes the moment to tell him to take a picture of us. Minutes later, I find myself smiling at the camera with him kneeling next to me. It was a big surprise."Their wedding, however, they decided to celebrate on the other side of the pond, in Barcelona. "Our wedding was organized from a distance. We from Argentina and the wedding planner Sonia Sinues from Barcelona, making sure that all the details were resolved".Anneliese entrusted her dress to Argentine designer Camila Romano. Her bouquet was made by 'Dulce Locura' and her crown was signed 'Decoshopper'.On September 18 of last year, three years after their first meeting, Anneliese and Marco were getting married in the Sant Quirze parish in Barcelona. A ceremony that was enlivened by Anneliese's family. "My cousin Carlos played the guitar and sang, my cousin Elena sang and Camila played the violin." The fact that they, her cousins, put music to their 'yes, I do', made that day even more magical for them. For the celebration, the couple chose 'La Baronía' from Barcelona. A farmhouse that was built by Francisco Trinxet at the beginning of the 20th century, but whose origins date back to the 17th century. In this space surrounded by nature, the couple celebrated, in style, that they were already 'husband and wife. "The funniest moment was our entrance to the room," they recall. "It's not our custom to have an entrance and a dance, but we decided to do it and it was a lot of fun. At that moment we let loose and started enjoying ourselves. We danced to the song Come and get your love from 'Redbone'. Initially, the idea was to dance a fragment of the song, but we ended up dancing the whole song to how happy we were. "What the newlyweds did not expect was the surprise their families had prepared for them. While they moved to the rhythm of the music, they distributed among the guests some T-shirts on which the date of the marriage could be read, some glasses, hats, and other accessories, thus starting the 'crazy hour'.And so, dancing and singing, it was how this Argentine couple welcomed their new life.
