A wild, minimalist wedding above the clouds in MayrhofenIf you've ever dreamt of a wedding in the clouds, this is it. Joe & Hannah tied the knot at Gschösswandhaus, perched 1,800m high in the Austrian Penken mountains — a venue only reachable by gondola (yes, it’s as epic as it sounds).Joe had spent countless childhood holidays in Mayrhofen, and now it’s a place he and Hannah share with their own little ones. Saying their vows here just fit.Their day? Relaxed, emotional, and full of character. Rain gave way to sunshine just in time for their outdoor ceremony overlooking the valley. A German registrar and her daughter (in traditional Austrian dress!) led the bilingual vows, and guests celebrated with confetti, cheers… and a few cowbells ringing from the slopes below.Their style was all about stripped-back beauty — wild florals, minimal details, and that unreal backdrop doing most of the talking.After the ceremony came Austrian traditions, speeches, and dancing into golden hour. Just magical.
