Italian vibes at a Berlin wedding

It doesn't matter if a wedding is big or small, luxurious or more budget-oriented, planned in advance or spontaneous – the only thing that matters is YOU to make a wedding truly unforgetable. My couples "get" that. Don't try to please anyone else, do YOUR thing, it's YOUR day. This German couple has strong connection to Italy, so they decided to drive to the registry with their own Vespa scooter. When they told me about it, I saw immediately the opportunity to take some cool pictures without telling them to do anything extra for me.I have the philosophy that the pictures should be of little importance on the wedding day, it's all about celebrating your love and having a great time with friends and family – but AFTER the wedding, with time passing, the photos become more and more important. And that's the reason why they choose me. I love to document what's happening while interfering as little as possible. A cab ride to follow them on their way to the registry office costs 15 € but the pictures are priceless.Probably I should clarify that I totally integrate into the wedding crowd, I'm a social guy and really enjoy the emotions and meeting new people on the wedding day. I can't stay distant, I need to be close to take strong pictures. After only a few minutes, noone notices me anymore taking pictures, I'm just another friend attending the wedding.
It's funny how often the couple wonders how I took certain pictures as they can't remember at all that I was present at that moment. While I have a photojournalistic approach and try to "keep it real," I studied film making and worked a lot with actors in the past – giving ideas what to do, suggesting how to improve and organising group shots isn't a problem at all for me, more the contrary. And for many pictures with a special symmetry it's even necessary. But I never have a shotlist which would limit my creativity. So...What are you waiting for?Let's get in touch and tell me your story!
