—Assolutamente no!

—How did you get in the photography industry?

—Scoprendo che è possibile, oltre che bello, raccontare il matrimonio in maniera spontanea e naturale.

—What are the most important components of a good photo in your opinion?

—La storia, ciò che suscita in chi la guarda.

—Do you love traveling?

—Adoro.

—What do you like most about your profession?

—Conoscere nuove persone. Facendo anche ritratti ho la possibilità di instaurare nuovi rapporti, approfondire, scovare ecc.. Con la fotografia si rende quell'attimo eterno.

—What do you like least about your profession?

—L'invidia.

—What will be the future of photography?

—Non ho la sfera di cristallo, nè particolari poteri divinatori. Posso ipotizzare che il futuro sia legato alla tecnologia, all'innovazione e alla capacità dei fotografi di stare al passo mantenendo una propria identità.

—What is special in the photography genre you specialise at?

—L'irripetibilità.

—How do you handle criticism?

—Essendo io stesso molto autocritico, accetto volentieri anche la critica se fatta nei modi giusti e con cognizione di causa. Nessuno è perfetto, è bene ripeterselo come un mantra.

—Are there any trends in photography?

—Se ci sono non le seguo.

—What should be the criteria for a customer to choose a photographer?

—Lo stile. La persona.
Ed infine, per ultimo, il prezzo. Ma si sa che spesso è esattamente l'opposto.

—What things are to be avoided when shooting?

—Non saprei, è una domanda troppo aperta.
Però a primo impatto direi che non è ammesso distrarsi.

—What details that usually pass unnoticed can a photographer notice?

—Quali e quante. Una infinità. Ogni situazione è diversa, anche se il matrimonio prevede dei rituali comuni. Il bravo fotografo nota le differenze e le coglie.

—What influences the value of a photo? What are its elements?

—Una foto ha valore non tanto per la sua bellezza (estetica) quanto per quello che racconta e come lo racconta.

—What person can be the symbol of the 21st century in your opinion?

—Chi? Inteso come persona fisica? Non saprei.
Sul "cosa" invece ne possiamo parlare; internet, l'immagine, i social...

—Who do you want to take photos of?

—Quello che non ho ancora fotografato.

—Do you have any professional taboos?

—Dovrei averne?

—Who would you like to shoot with?

—Con chiunque.

—What do you worry about, and why?

—Mi preoccupo di me stesso. Il perchè è ovvio.

—What is the most impressive moment in your life?

—Credo la mia nascita, ma non me la ricordo.

—If you were a cartoon, book or movie character, who would you be and why?

—Non lo so, ma ho sempre sognato di poter volare. Quindi immagino che superman possa andare bene.

—Who inspires you in your life and why?

—Mi ispira chi ritengo migliore di me. Il perchè, anche qui, è ovvio.

—How do you define success? How do you measure it?

—Il successo è quella cosa per la quale ad un certo punto ti senti realizzato e non ti metti più in discussione. Ed è sbagliato. Non si misura certo in like su facebook.

—Would you rather be liked or respected?

—Se si è amati si è anche rispettati. Non viceversa. Diciamo che essere rispettato è già tanto, tantissimo.

—What is the biggest mistake you have ever made at work?

—Sbagliare è la base per migliorarsi. Il più grande errore è stato iniziare tardi a fotografare.

—When you're going to travel, what do you take with you and why?

—La valigia non serve.

—Is there anything among your gadgets that you wish you haven't bought? Why?

—Non mi risulta di avere gadget.

—How do you educate yourself to take better pictures?

—Nessuna, osservo chi ritengo più bravo di me. E può essere sia il giovane fotografo di talento, sia un mostro sacro della fotografia contemporanea.

—Whose work has influenced you most as a photographer?

—Nessuno in particolare. Semplicemente il mio fotografare rispecchia lo stile che amo, il reportage, di cui ci sono grandi esempi.

—What is the one thing you wish you knew when you started taking photos?

—Osservare. Saper osservare.

—What do you want to say with your photographs?

—Dipende. Sono convinto che le foto di un fotografo raccontano molto del fotografo stesso. E ogni foto racconta qualcosa di diverso. Che sia matrimonio, moda, commerciale, street...
Con le mie fotografie condivido il mio modo di vedere le cose.

—What motivates you to continue taking pictures?

—Mi piace e al momento non vorrei fare altro.

—Should your parents have been more or less strict?

—Penso che sia irrilevante.

—If you could go back in time, what would you do differently?

—Nulla. Non si può tornare al passato.

—What about life on other planets?

—Penso sia meglio occuparci e preoccuparci di noi su questo pianeta prima.

—Who are your heroes?

—Chi lotta.

—Who do you have no respect for?

—Mah.

—What do you do in your spare time?

—Tante cose.

—What's the side of you that the public never sees?

—Mistero.

—When are you completely satisfied with your work?

—Non sono mai completamente soddisfatto.

—Do you believe in the traditional roles for men and women?

—Credo nelle persone, a prescindere dal genere o dai ruoli.

—Do you make friends easily?

—Sì, direi di sì.

—Where would you like to live?

—Ovunque.

—What's the stupidest thing you've ever agreed to do?

—Se ne fanno di cose stupide.

—Is there life after marriage?

—Esiste la vita.

—La supercazzola.

—Si.

—Non odio nessuno, e non odio niente.

—Il dolore. Anche se utile.

—Is there anything around you that you would like to change?

—Pretendere di cambiare qualcosa o gli altri presuppone il saper cambiare se stessi. Non ho questa presunzione.

—Diverse cose.

—Vedi sopra.

—Can you give a few tips for photographers who are just starting out?

—I dettagli fanno la differenza.

—Ah.

—Penso drammatico, magari noir.
