Interview

  • First and foremost – whom can you name as the best photographer in London, United Kingdom? :)

    Anil Tohani

  • Are you photogenic?

I believe everyone in this world is photogenic in its own way.

  • How did you get in the photography industry?

My family has been in this industry since my grandad days back in India but I never got into it due to IT boom in the 90s. Since I moved to the UK, I started photography again by capturing beautiful countryside. Then, I decided to come back into Wedding Industry and been working since 2011.

  • What are the most important components of a good photo in your opinion?

A Moment is by far the most important component in my opinion. The "Hero" in the image. As Photographers we need to find that "Hero" in the image.

  • Do you love traveling?

Yes, I am very fond of travelling. Been travelling to Europe, India. Recently, I have been to beautiful Florence to do a pre-wedding shoot.

  • What do you like most about your profession?

To create history for the couple and their families. To make them smile by taking those amazing moments which happen during the wedding. We are not just taking the photos, we are creating history for them. Also, seeing new faces every weekend and making new friends.

  • What do you like least about your profession?

    Editing!! haha

  • What will be the future of photography?

It is hard to predict in my opinion as generations are changing. At the moment what I see online and on Instagram feed are full of portraits. To me, real wedding photography is a mixture of great moments and beautiful portraits. Photographers are going towards more portraits then actually working hard to get great moments. One thing is sure, if you photograph the wedding with your heart, you will capture great moments.

  • What is the most impressive moment in your life?

Seeing my two daughters born in front of my eyes. What else could top that? :)
