Interview

  • How did you get in the photography industry?

It was always a dream of mine after studying photography. As soon as we had the funding behind us we dived right in! I've always wanted to be a wedding photographer, weddings are just such lovely days, you can't help but smile when you're around happy people in love. Who wouldn't want to do something where you spend all day smiling?!

  • What are the most important components of a good photo in your opinion?

Real expression and capturing a moment that allows anyone who views the image to be right there with the subject. Photos are art, and art should make you feel something!

  • What should be the criteria for a customer to choose a photographer?

There are so many amazing wedding photographers out there, it's not just as simple as picking the person who creates photos you like (though that is a major part!). You've got to find someone whose company you enjoy, someone you feel like you can spend a whole day with.

  • What is the most impressive moment in your life?

Meeting my husband at the age of 11 and marrying him at 24.

  • If you were a cartoon, book or movie character, who would you be and why?

    Arwen, always.

  • Would you rather be liked or respected?

    Can I not be both?

  • When you're going to travel, what do you take with you and why?

A camera (obviously) and a book.

  • How do you educate yourself to take better pictures?

Creativelive has been an amazing source of learning for us

  • What motivates you to continue taking pictures?

    Happy couples

  • Do you believe in the traditional roles for men and women?

    Hell no

  • Do you like dogs or cats?

    Cats =(^.^)=
