  • Are you photogenic?

    No

  • How did you get in the photography industry?

    My wife started wedding photography and one day I sat at a coffee shop and waited til she finished, which was 9 hours! I said never again and decided to get involved.

  • What are the most important components of a good photo in your opinion?

    Texture, the subject and location

  • Do you love traveling?

    Yes

  • What do you like most about your profession?

    Travel and working outdoors

  • What do you like least about your profession?

    Designing albums and tax returns

  • What will be the future of photography?

    I imagine it would be holograms or virtual reality.

  • What is special in the photography genre you specialise at?

    We shoot a culture of love. It is all about love and focused on family, friends and the couple themselves.

  • How do you handle criticism?

    Bad!. I have a salty time mulling over my mistakes.

  • Are there any trends in photography?

    Plenty. Just depends on the client

  • What should be the criteria for a customer to choose a photographer?

    Experience and do they fit your style? Is that how you want to see yourself in photos?

  • What things are to be avoided when shooting?

    Direct Flash. Softer lighting is key.

  • What details that usually pass unnoticed can a photographer notice?

    Emotion. Moments. Look for moments even when you get bored.

  • What influences the value of a photo? What are its elements?

    Moments, location and light.

  • What person can be the symbol of the 21st century in your opinion?

    I would love to shoot Miss South Africa or Miss Universe

    When my camera's shutter breaks or any equipment breaks on site. If that happens then your heart is in your throat. @#$%^^ What now?!

    The day I saw my son's birth.

    My wife

    Been able to work for yourself, provide for your family and go on holidays.

    Respected. Don't care what people think of me.

    Having a client say she is disappointed in me.

    My guitar. Helps ease my mind when stressed.

    My tripod. Never really needed it.

    Learn from other photographers and watch youtube.

    Jacqui Bruniquel's work. She is very creative!

    Learn the business side of photography

    I like to tell the story of the couple and try and bring out or portray their personalities.

    The satisfaction of getting praises from my clients.

    Start photography earlier. Got more degrees in it.

    Absolutely! God.

    Shoot shoot and shoot some more. Practice makes perfect. Not your expensive camera!
