—Are you photogenic?

—I don't think so but I didn't have many occasions to be in front of the camera.

—How did you get in the photography industry?

—I think wedding photography get into me not the other way. I started with landscape photography because I enjoy nature, after that I develop other photographic skills with stock photography and so I thought wedding photography it would be a good business opportunity and also to combine pleasure with work.

—What are the most important components of a good photo in your opinion?

—A good photograph always should catch the viewer attention, to say something and make the person who look to think. Anything else doesn't matter so much.

—Do you love traveling?

—I do and I wish as soon as possible to blend travel with work.

—What do you like most about your profession?

—I like the most that I meet every day new people, new characters and make new friends. It wonderful that through our work we discover the world.

—What do you like least about your profession?

—For sure I don't like long editing hours but I think it's my fault and I got to change my work flow or something in my style or prices.

—What will be the future of photography?

—For sure the future of wedding photography is destination wedding and good quality photojournalism.

—What is special in the photography genre you specialise at?

—In wedding photography I have the unique opportunity to meet people on their most beautiful moment of their life. The moment there emotions are on the highest peak when they are happy and beautiful.

—How do you handle criticism?

—I love criticism. I think criticism help us to evolve as photographers and as people

—Are there any trends in photography?

—For sure are trends in wedding photography but they come and go. A good portrait, quality photojournalism and photos full of emotions will live for decades.

—What should be the criteria for a customer to choose a photographer?

—I always hope that a bride and groom choose their photographers after a face to face meet where they can decide that the photographer isn't just person who will work for them. Bride, groom and photographer should think alike without words and then the photos will be stunning.

—What things are to be avoided when shooting?

—Everything is allowed. If you thing that something is not allowed then you put a barrier to your creativity.

—What details that usually pass unnoticed can a photographer notice?

—The common people aren't trained to see as a photographer see. They don't see the best light, the best places and moments to take a shoot. They are always amazed then they see a picture made in a ordinary place for their eye that look amazing.

—What influences the value of a photo? What are its elements?

—The most important think that brings value to a picture is the moment and after that is lighting, background and composition.

—What person can be the symbol of the 21st century in your opinion?

—Tough question! In my opinion that person could be Pope Francis. He could be the person to bring real peace into this world.

—Who do you want to take photos of?

—For sure I would like to make a photo reportage with Metallica on an world tour.

—Do you have any professional taboos?

—Taboos, rules, things that restrict you creativity and vision doesn't have to exists.

—Who would you like to shoot with?

—Where are so many great photographers today so it's difficult to choose one to shoot with.

—What do you worry about, and why?

—I think I worry about my health. If you are not healthy you can live you life as you like and do what you love.

—What is the most impressive moment in your life?

—For sure the most impressive moment is the birth of my daughter, Raisa!

—If you were a cartoon, book or movie character, who would you be and why?

—Sherlock Holmes!

—How do you define success? How do you measure it?

—If you are happy with you and with your life, then you have success. For sure you can measure it because everybody see success in different ways.

—Would you rather be liked or respected?

—For sure I would like to be respected.

—What is the biggest mistake you have ever made at work?

—I make a lot of mistakes, everybody does but I manage to solve them and the rest doesn't see. I can't name something as the biggest. But a mistake is a good thing and help you evolve.

—When you're going to travel, what do you take with you and why?

—Family and a little Fuji X100S or only the phone.

—Is there anything among your gadgets that you wish you haven't bought? Why?

—We live in a life surrounded by gadgets, in another words toys for big people. I wish I haven't buy a lot of stuff and spent more wisely the money but that life. I buy it then I sold what I didn't use anymore.

—How do you educate yourself to take better pictures?

—I'm a self educated photographer. I learn from online tutorials, other photographers work, movies and now I try to learn from every day life that surround me.

—Whose work has influenced you most as a photographer?

—For sure Chrisman Studios, Larry Mann, Tod Laffler!

—What is the one thing you wish you knew when you started taking photos?

—I wish I learn sooner how to the world as camera see it and not to stuck in technical things.

—What do you want to say with your photographs?

—I want to share to others the joy of life, the beauty of human soul and best part of our world. I wish my photography to bring happiness into the eyes of the viewer.

—What motivates you to continue taking pictures?

—Daily life, the beauty of our planet. Everything is different in every second so I have a million subjects to photograph. The subjects are endless so I think this is a good motivation.

—Should your parents have been more or less strict?

—My parents were perfect. They offered the perfect balance between what I liked to do and I shouldn't do.

—If you could go back in time, what would you do differently?

—For sure I would started to do photography when I was younger.

—What about life on other planets?

—For sure exists but it so evolved that they didn't bother to make contact with us. We are still savage for them. We have a long way to evolve.

—Who are your heroes?

—My heroes are regular people. They are amazing.

—Who do you have no respect for?

—I have no respect for the people who lie and for the people who like to kiss other people asses.

—What do you do in your spare time?

—Spare time? I wish I have some. But when I have a little I play with my daughter, go meet my parents, drink a beer with friends.

—What's the side of you that the public never sees?

—The public never sees when I'm rally angry! :P

—When are you completely satisfied with your work?

—I'm never satisfied with my work. If it would be satisfaction when I'll do something else. Because if your are satisfied when will be no progress.

—Do you believe in the traditional roles for men and women?

—Hmm... traditional. Tradition is a rule. I don't like rules. I think everybody is different and everybody should respect everybody and the sex doesn't matter. If it's harmony in relationships between people, everybody respect each other when everything is fine.

—Do you make friends easily?

—I don't! Because I like to tell directly what I don't like to people and that upset the most of time.

—Where would you like to live?

—The best place to live? Hard to tell when you never stayed there for some time. But I dream to stay on a sunny island with a big beach and blue waters.

—What's the stupidest thing you've ever agreed to do?

—I don't agree to do stupid things.

—Is there life after marriage?

—For sure. I would say that the life only begins only after marriage. Of course marriage shouldn't be conventional or linked by a piece of paper.

—Do you have a favourite joke? Tell us.

—I tried to fight my inner demons. Now we are on the the side! :P

—Do you like dogs or cats?

—I love all animals. And maybe in the short future I'll have a big house with plenty of outdoor space for at least two big romanian shepherd dogs and some cats.

—Who or what do you hate?

—I don't hate. Hate bring always bad things, bad thoughts and didn't help you to evolve as a person.

—The best thing in life is:

—The best thing in life is that you discover in every moment new things, new people and place even they are near you. If you are open minded everything is beautiful.

—The most annoying thing in life is:

—I don't think that is something annoying in life. If you live the moment, do what you like and spent time with family and friends everything is ok.

—Is there anything around you that you would like to change?

—I would like to make wars disappear and the world to became better for everybody no matter where the live.

—What would you like to change in yourself?

—I wish a find a better balance between my work time and family time. Of course the balance should lean more in family time side! :P

—What would you like to change in the world?

—I wish that people love each other to forget to be selfish, end all wars and earth to grow as one happy nation without borders.

—Can you give a few tips for photographers who are just starting out?

—The most important tip is to follow the moment, always look behind the main thing that is happening, there are hidden gems in the second row.

—If aliens come to the Earth and you are the first person they meet, what will you tell them?

—Welcome guys! I've been expecting you, what took you so long!

—If you are called to shoot a movie, what genre will it be?

—For sure a thriller!
