Interview

  • Are you photogenic?

    Oh,yes...actually selfie addict

  • How did you get in the photography industry?

I started taking pictures artistically in 2010 after high school at the Mwelu Foundation, shooting for free while I decided if I wanted to turn into a professional photographer. I started to build my professional portfolio when I joined Photo-Magic Studio in 2014 and take on clients.

  • What are the most important components of a good photo in your opinion?

Every image needs a basic structure. Without an underlying structure, it is just another boring photo.Every image needs strong underlying com-positional order so that it grabs the eye from a hundred feet away.If it can't grab the eye from a distance, it will never be an interesting photo, regardless of how many fine details it might have. Details don't matter if there's no story behind it.

  • Do you love traveling?

    Yes,a lot.
Actually this was one of my fisrt interest before joining photography, maybe I could be in Photojournalist industry

  • What do you like most about your profession?

Meeting new people everyday. This has enabled me to create a good network with people from different races. My time also,is so flexible.

  • What do you like least about your profession?

Time consuming--especially when you are up-to something and at the end of the day you want to capture something new from the ordinary.

  • What will be the future of photography?

I think photos will trump video even in the future. And it takes more than just a good camera to make good pictures so photographers will still exist.

But, like any profession, there are pros and cons involved. It’s a difficult job, and not everyone is cut out for it.

  • How do you handle criticism?

I decide whether the criticism is valid or not.
