A wonderful wedding at 'The Barn', Barra Castle

'The Barn' at Barra Castle, near Inverurie in the Scottish Highlands, is a fabulous venue for anything. I had been there once before, photographing a 60th birthday party (actually the first event they hosted), and so was delighted to return earlier this year for the very special wedding of Kelly and Susanne. As I usually am, I was with them from just after they woke up right through to the dancing at night. This gives me the chance to capture all the preparations as well as the ceremony and all the guests without having to rush about too much. This was such a memorable day and, despite one heavy rain shower, the weather held up to let us get some dramatic skies and happy faces. Kelly and Susanne were so relaxed and easy to be around; they made me feel more like a guest than a photographer! They seemed to like the end results as well...‘We just wanted to say a HUGE thanks for taking such wonderful photos on our wedding day.
