Lizzie and Preston

What a wonderful day we had with Lizzie and Preston on their special day in the most beautiful part of the world – Kangaroo Valley, NSW, Australia. This was my first 'first look' wedding. The expression on the groom's face was the most memorable reaction to seeing his bride for the first time I have witnessed. After this the couple and I went for a walk, actually more like an adventurous hike. Going down a steep, narrow, winding bush track to the dry creek bed was a challenge but well worth the journey. Such a magical place. Just the loving couple in the middle of the bush and a photographer trying to keep inconspicuous so they could enjoy the moment together before they joined their family and friends to celebrate the beginning of their life together as husband and wife. A quick freshen up and the ceremony began. A very relaxed affair on a platform looking over the magnificent valley. It was simple but very moving. We all entered the reception marquee with a sense of joy and love filling the room. Two very happy people on the start of a wonderful life together. One small side story that had everyone laughing hysterically was during the traditional moment of cutting the cake. Preston didn't realise his own strength and actually broke the handle of the knife!
