A Celebration of Love: Li & Mihir’s Joyful Indian Wedding Across Atlanta

Li and Mihir’s Indian wedding was a celebration of family, culture, and community.Spanning two days and several locations across Atlanta, each event was infused with color, meaning, and love.
The Haldi Ceremony: A Backyard Blessing
Their wedding festivities began intimately with a Haldi ceremony in the backyard of a charming Airbnb. Family and close friends gathered as turmeric paste was lovingly applied to the couple in a joyful pre-wedding ritual. Laughter filled the air as the yellow hue of Haldi—symbolizing purity, protection, and prosperity—marked the beginning of their marital journey. T
Mendhi Night in the West End
Next came the Mendhi celebration in Atlanta’s historic West End, where the air buzzed with excitement and the scent of jasmine and spices. The bride’s hands and feet were adorned with intricate henna designs, each symbolizing love, luck, and joy. Guests were given the opportunity to have their hands decorated as well. Then everyone mingled and danced while enjoying traditional music, sweet treats, and heartfelt speeches.
Baraat & Wedding Ceremony at the Greystone Inn
At the Greystone Inn in Piedmont Park, Mihir made his entrance with a spirited baraat procession—complete with dhol drums, dancing, and cheering guests. His arrival was nothing short of electric, setting the tone for a powerful and emotional fire ceremony.
Beneath a beautifully decorated mandap, Li and Mihir took their vows in a traditional Hindu fire ceremony (Agni). Surrounded by loved ones and guided by sacred rituals, they circled the fire, sealing their union with promises of love, respect, and partnership.
Tea Ceremony: A Moment of Reverence
Before dinner and dancing, Li and Mihir paused for a traditional Chinese tea ceremony—a quiet, meaningful moment to honor Li’s heritage. As they served tea to their elders, they received blessings, advice, and love in return.
Dinner, Dancing, and Celebration
With rituals complete, the celebration continued with food, toasts, and dancing in the grand foyer of the Greystone Inn. It was the perfect close to a wedding that beautifully blended tradition, emotion, and joy.
