The Alberta rockies the week between Christmas and New Years is absolutely unequivocally breathtaking. It is COLD! But incomparable in its views and beauty.A picture perfect place and moment to tie the knot, and that is exactly what Francesca (our new best Manitoban friend) and Steven an aspiring podiatrist (He has a thing for feet) did!We were so moved by the centrality of Francesca & Steven’s (and their family’s) faith! We loved that Francesca and her girls took a moment to pray and really dedicate the day, and their marriage before rushing off to the first look.For their first look, we revisited a special place where we were privileged to take their engagement portraits. Quarry Lake Park just outside Canmore on Three Sisters Parkway.Despite the frigid temperatures, we actually were very blessed to have the weather that we did. The snow had fallen the night before and the wind was minimal, leaving the trees covered in snow. Honestly, for us, these are the hero images of the day!After the first look, we hustled over to the Malcolm Hotel in the new Spring Creek Development in Canmore. This place does NOT disappoint! We went and scouted the hotel out prior to the getting ready portraits and Stephanie and I couldn’t stop strategizing a time where we could come with Anthym and Royal for a few day mountain getaway to the Malcolm!With just a short walk down the river canal to Canmore’s downtown, it is located perfectly! The pool & hot tub are outdoors with mountain views and on the 2nd floor of the hotel there is a sitting area designated for billiards, family games, and puzzles.On top of all that, the place makes for some nice photos. Congrats Fran & Steven, we pray God’s blessing over you guys, your marriage, and all you set your hands to in the future.Love, Steven and Steph.
