It is famous for its colonial architecture, its rich collection of Baroque art (with altars sculpted in gold), and for having been the major center of the Gold Cycle in colonial Brazil.

How incredible to read something like this! I've been trying not to get lost in photography competitions just to win prizes. We know that the standards related to awards are always changing. And you need to read those standards to garner thousands of titles. But I'm afraid of becoming just an award-winning photographer and losing my identity.
