I really don’t know where to begin explaining these last couple of months with Shannon and Dawie, from their engagement shoot at Cairnbroige (had way too many laughs and got lost, but who cares right), to the emails that made me smile, the voice notes and of course their happiest day (so far) of their lives.Leading up to their wedding, was probably three of my most stressful days, the weather was predicted to be bucketing down (localised flooding warnings) with rain, wind, basically it was a stay at home in your onesie, netflixing and eating way too much junk food kinda day. But we had a wedding and I was thinking of all kinds of plans ranging from B to Z and I think I was even at AB1 at one stage.I didn’t know how to tell Shan and Dawie that we might only get a window of 5 minutes to shoot some kind of “couple” photos on their wedding in their wedding attire. But that we would do our utmost best to make the best of what was meant to be a really bad situation. But after chatting to Shan (who seemed way to relaxed about what was meant to happen) I stressed even more. She said “Both me and Dawie are so chilled about what Saturday’s weather will bring. And cloudy weather is your forte right?” and “as long as we get married I’m happy”. Right there, I had to make sure, that the MAGIC and BANGERS will continue, come rain, wind, tidal waves, hurricanes or 40 degrees, we will make MAGIC! The END!Shan you were so relaxed and still full of fun and laughs and your bridesmaids were absolutely amazing! I don’t know where to start with your dress (I love sleeves!!!!!), those amazing moments when you opened your gifts from Dawie, goosebump stuff! Dawie, friend what can say! Your groomsmen were only there for the Freedom Of Movement Gifts! :pThank you Shan and Dawie, for basically everything! From the laughs, the one liners, the concern for my cameras (not so much for me) when I fell in the ravine, braving the wind, the rain, the way you two look at each other, for the way you love each other and allowing me to photograph you not just once after the wedding, but twice!
