I did a couple's pre-wedding session at this awsome place, full of history, almost forgotten.
Its construction, initiated by Mr. Bernardo Pereira, dates from 1789, as indicated by an inscription on the top of the main portal, the Carmelite Order being its builders. It stands out for its late baroque or tropical style built in limestone and sandstone masonry, such as the Church's Guide, also located in Lucena and attributed to the Order of the Carmelites. It presents typical characteristics of the second moment of the rural religious architecture of Brazil in the XVIII Century, revealing to moment of transition between the oldest and simplest type of chapel formed by nave and main chapel and the party and in "T" arisen with the juxtaposition of sacristy and consistory the chancel
