When Rubina and Sabapathy connected with us and told their story, we were more than happy to photograph it. Rubina being a cancer patient , she is just a cracker. She is crazy , funny and most importantly imperfect which we just loved. Cancer is not a war. It’s not a battle to be won. Cancer is a disease that plays by its own rules and does not always respond the way it is supposed to. Rubina just didn’t show that life is about fighting the battles but it is also about living as well gentle positivity, setting short-term, achievable goals, and drawing on support from those closest to you.
