The Social Distancing Wedding

With the COVID-19 pandemic going on worldwide, it has certainly done a number on the wedding industry, hospitality and more. Postponements, cancellations, and all the hardwork couples put together to create a memorable day, all put on hold. Except, Stephanie and Mike didn’t let the virus hold up their marriage. A barrage of emails back and forth, text messages and phone calls to figure out what to do since their wedding date of March 21, was in thick of all of the social gathering bans. The big party with their family and friends will take place in the summer, but on March 21, they held a social distancing ceremony with only 10 people, including myself. It was a special, intimate, and loving moment for the couple. That same day, they celebrated their fifth year anniversary of being together, which makes this day even more special. It was one that I will remember because they weren’t going to let this stop them from being married.
