Alex & Michelle were a beautiful couple who came from Ottawa to get married here in Montreal. Although a quiet couple- they were so fascinating. Like the fact that she made her own wedding cake. Oh and she’s a figure skater too? I loved her humility through these amazing accomplishments because meeting her- you wouldn’t know the measure of her awesomeness. Alex and Michelle opted for the absolutely beautiful Crew Collective to get married in. Yes it’s a cafe. But it use to be Royal Banks headquarters back in 1928. Fun fact- it also was the tallest office building in all of Canada! Once you go inside- and I highly suggest you do- you’ll be in complete awe and wonderment. The intricate detail in the floors, the 50 foot ceilings with rounded windows and the incredible detail every single inch of the space will wow you. If you love it enough (which you will) you can even rent rooms inside where you can work all day, or host business meetings. Be sure to wear your tweed suit and fedora. Because why not? The space was being used at the time for an Adam Sandler movie and while we did not get to see him, we certainly got to have fun with a bubble machine.. or two… while Alex and Michelle danced together before their ceremony was underway. (hidden of course from guests!)The catering was one of my top 3 favorites here in Montreal- Zoe Ford. Being that Alex is from the states- he wanted to incorporate some southern cooking. He and his friends were wow’d by Joanna’s short ribs, mac and cheese and corn bread. Oh and not to forget – her fried chicken sliders. Not going to lie- this is a photographers delight after being on their feet all day. COMFORT food is where it’s at! Please enjoy these photos of their wedding day. I cannot wait to go again to Crew for a cappuccino and take in it’s grandeur.
