Destination weddings are more and more popular worldwide. The number of destination weddings in Denmark, especially in Copenhagen rise every year. Who will not say, yes to a wedding at a dreamy place like Denmark? It is a country with a historical background, a place with a kingdom and magical landscapes and nature.It comes as no surprise that Stevns Klint is one of the best Wedding locations in Denmark.Stevns Klint, it is located south-east of Store Heddinge, a small city of 3362 people, a quite and beautiful place. Stevns Klint is on UNESCO’s prestigious list of the world’s most unique cultural and natural heritage. The view is breathtaking, no words can describe it.Natasha and David came all the way from Australia to exchange their vows at the very beautiful church, Højerup Gamle Kirke, that is located on a cliff on the coast, just 65 km away from Copenhagen. The very cold weather did not stand in their way of having an unforgettable wedding.Grethe from Magical Weddings was one of the reasons why they had a memorable wedding, organising every detail in a perfect way. The soft light coming from the church’s balcony and the lit candles all around made the church’s atmosphere magnificent. It was a one in a million feeling and I was so proud to be there, to document this day with my photography.Natasha and David’s life story:We meet at a park 7 years ago where I would take my two daughters to play, and he would take his youngest daughter. We met up with friends and got to know each other and realised we had a lot in common. At first, we both weren’t looking for a relationship because we had both separated from our other partners. One night he asked me over to his place for dinner, he said his 14-year-old was cooking.Haha, 4 hours it took her to make Sheppard’s pie. Kids went to bed and we stayed up talking all night. The more time we spent together, the more we realised we liked each other.After discussing and making plans for our wedding ceremony, we shorten the list to 4 places.David said being funny: “we should get married in Europe”.The next few days, I had booked tickets to Europe for 5 weeks. Then we had to decide were in Europe to get married. Because of David being of Italian heritage, we looked at getting married in Italy but the paperwork was horrendous and it would have taken too long. Myself, being of Dutch heritage, we looked into getting married in Holland but also the paperwork would have taken too long. I googled the easiest place in Europe to get married in, and Denmark came up. I checked it out and it seemed so beautiful…. and that’s how we ended up in Denmark saying I Do.I googled wedding planners and found magical weddings. Magical weddings ticked all my boxes, married at the beach, married in a church. The only issue was the weather as my original wedding dress was for a summer beach wedding not for a winter wedding. I had to purchase a new wedding dress to somewhat resemble a winter wedding, plus I still wasn’t prepared for how cold it was in Denmark in DecemberWhat did Natasha and David say about me:You are a beautiful person, you made our day so special, you are a gem!
