Anisha & Kunal

I initially photographed Anisha’s sister’s wedding at The Belfry, Birmingham. It was during this wedding I established a great rapport with the family, one that went beyond a business relationship. I was pleased that this was a feeling of mutual respect as soon I was invited to capture Anisha & Kunal’s Indian wedding at The Belfry, Nottingham.The day started early. Being made to feel as one of the family allowed me to really get some emotive shots. The glorious weather was complemented by the beautiful wedding ceremony conducted by Raju bhai which had the congregation in silence! That said, there was still plenty of fun to be had which my images captured as you can see below. As with weddings, especially Asian weddings, there was some emotion along the way too. Hearing Kunal’s father speak about his premature birth and the struggles he had to overcome to become the man he is today really did pull at the heart strings. This really makes Kunal special and is held in such regard by his loved ones. I’d like to thank Kunal’s family for also accepting me so gracefully too, again making the process of capturing their moments so much easier. Following the emotion it was time to party and great fun was had on the dance floor!
