Abruzzo is full of wonderful places and Rocca Calascio is certainly the place where you can breathe a magical atmosphere.
Valentina and Marian are two guys of Abruzzese origin who have lived outside the region for years and who have decided to get married in their homeland.
The civil ceremony takes place in Calascio, celebrated by the young mayor, while the reception is held in Santo Stefano di Sessanio, a fortified medieval village in the mountains of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park, in the charming Sextantio diffused hotel. Born thanks to a project to recover the old houses of the village, this place makes you feel like you’re back in time.
It’s a hot August day, full of colors, with clouds that appear darker and darker on the horizon.
At the end of the reception we decide to climb the Rocca, also because a threatening storm is approaching.
Arriving at the castle of Rocca Calascio is not really easy for those wearing the wedding clothes, but thanks to the experience of wedding photographer in Abruzzo that I have accumulated over the years and the many services I have made in this magnificent place, we quickly manage to go up and make a series of unforgettable shots in a short time, just before the arrival of a real flood.
Valentina and Marian chose me right away, after a few emails, because they understood the value of relying on a photographer who knows every corner of this territory, thanks to the photographic work on the landscape and traditions of Abruzzo that goes beyond the wedding photography .
