A Greek Fat Wedding in Folegandros, Greece

One of the most excited and intimate wedding i have shot recently. Hara and Gino decided to tie the knot in Folegandros where they had their first vacation. I always love Greek Islands and Folegandros is a completely virgin island. Anyway this is an island and there is a wedding. What a great idea "Island Wedding"Gino and Hara met here in Switzerland back in May 2014. They are are from those millennia couples who met online.
Gino have proposed in 2015 in Lisbon, Portugal. The place is called Punto Final *final destination and its across the canal in the city of Lisbon.
Hara told that it was like a movie-style "Boy goes on knees and asks. I said yes at the sunset"
By the way at the proposal Hara has been 6 months pregnant. :)This is why we have baptism ceremony of beautiful Rea just after the wedding ceremony. Rae no doubt one of the most cute girl i have ever seen :)The wedding weekend started on Friday with a welcome party. Actually it would have been a beach party at the coast but due to the bad weather conditions, they had to cancel at last minute. The party took place on the place called Raketina, one of the most beautiful place in island. Local beers and ouzos are really great. According to the sound limitation we had to move on to the square. The party finished by the midnight.We woke up on a great September day on the other day. We had a few minutes to explore one more beach in the island. We got through the preparations rapidly and our long journey to the church which is on the top of the island was started :) It was very though to climb the path ways with the gears. Anyway the whole wedding crew were on the mood and they were walking with the Greek booozuke sound. At that moment i had chance to capture great moments.
Due to the very hot weather inside and outside, I had to change my t-shirts three times during the ceremony. The wedding ceremony took much more time we have all expected, and we haven't had enough time take couple portraits. Anyway i am still happy with the photos :)After wedding ceremony and portrait shooting we went to town square. How luckily we watched bouquet throwing by seconds :) The greek mezes and foods were amazing. It was great that we had a table just near the couple and we did not miss any moment even we were eating. The Greek band song amazing songs. The party continued till 03:00. ; I was really surprised that the band did not give a great during the wedding party. I haven't seen a band played more than 6 hours continuously. They were really amazing. The traditional Greek dancers called sirtaki. Whole wedding guests played sirtaki at the town square without sitting their tables except eating and drinking. I have witnessed so many emotional moments besides enjoying. I would like to thank you Hara and Gino's for their great hospitality. This Greek fat wedding is one of the most amazing wedding i have shot. Happily ever after guys, love you so much...
