K&M's Rabat Wedding

What is it about Rabat weddings that they are always some of the most fun to photograph!? Karim and Maria’s wedding in Rabat was no exception! Karim is from Morocco and Maria is from Chile. They met while they were both living in France and later moved back to Agadir where Karim grew up. For their wedding they had so many friends and family travel in from abroad to celebrate with them. This gave the wedding such a fun international feel and we always love seeing how excited non-Moroccan guests are to experience Moroccan wedding traditions. The day before their wedding, they held the henna party at Karim’s grandmother's villa, which is also where the wedding was held the next day. It was a very special celebration and a great way to get to know some of the family members and guests before the wedding.On their wedding day, Karim and Maria both got ready at the villa along with some close friends and family members. The wedding was held outside of the villa in the garden. It was an absolutely gorgeous setup and we loved all of the greenery that was incorporated. Maria wore two takchitas and made her first entrance on the Amaria. For the second dress, she and Karim entered together, each on douras. When Karim and Maria first met with us about their wedding, one thing they emphasized was that dancing at their wedding would be important to them and that there would be a lot of dancing! And there was! We love the mix of music that Karim and Maria chose and there was something for everyone. For the first part of the evening, they had Maxim Karouchi and his band. They played a great mix of Moroccan and international favorites and really knew how to engage with the guests. Following dinner, Karim and Maria’s friend DJ Edhim took over the music and the dancing continued! Some of our favorite photos from the evening are from the dancing! Karim and Maria are such a sweet couple who clearly have such a deep love and respect for each other. It was also so special to see how much both of their families love this couple and have welcomed them in. We really loved photographing their wedding and wish them all of the best in their life together!
