E&E Wedding at Paradis Plage

Emile and Emilie couldn’t have picked a more beautiful day for their beach wedding. It was a cloudless May day with just enough of a breeze to keep the heat down. Because their wedding took place during the month of Ramadan (the Islamic holiday where Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset) the beach was uncommonly empty. They held the wedding at Paradis Plage, which is just outside of Agadir along the beautiful coastline.Both from France, Emile and Emilie met through work in Paris a few years ago. They decided to have a destination wedding in Morocco and many friends and family were able to fly down to join them. It was an intimate group and there was so much excitement for these two.We loved getting to know Emile and Emilie and found them to be such a fun and down to earth couple. Despite the fact that they said they didn’t like to be in front of a camera, they were complete naturals and we loved just capturing them interacting with each other.On the day of their wedding, Emilie’s sister did her makeup and Pauline from Brooklyn Mama’s did her hair. Meanwhile, Emile got ready with his cousin.Paradis Plage organized all of the details for the wedding and the day ran so smoothly. Enough cannot be said for the merits of having a great wedding planner to coordinate all of the details! It really takes the stress off of the bride and groom when everything is well organized and there’s a wedding planner to handle all of the details.The ceremony took place right in front of the ocean and was just breathtaking. Two good friends officiated the wedding ceremony. Both parents shared during the ceremony along with Emile’s brothers. Emile and Emilie each wrote something to share as well. It was a very meaningful ceremony and there were definitely a few teary eyes.Following the ceremony was a relaxed cocktail hour and we were able to capture some beautiful sunset photos with the bride and groom. Then everyone moved to the tent where the reception took place. The reception was an absolute blast with great speeches, fun dancing, a hilarious video created by some of Emile and Emilie’s friends, and exquisite food catered by Paradis Plage. Emilie’s father even serenaded the group with an Italian ballad – it was an incredibly special moment.One of our favorite moments from the wedding was the cake cutting. You’ll have to scroll down through the pictures to see why, but it was definitely our favorite cake cutting to date and these two know how to have a good time at their wedding!It was one of those weddings that you just leave with massive grins and full hearts. It was also a wedding that we could not narrow down our favorite photos – just too many moments that we love!
