James & Charlie An engagement photoshoot in Petra, Jordan

Is Petra in Jordan in your bucket list? You Would you think about celebrating your engagement in the ancient city of Petra? Looks so good to me! Charlie & James chose to elope in Jordan. So, taking their engagement photos one day before, was a magnificent idea.In 2007 Petra was announced as one of the new seven wonders of the world. The city of Petra is one of the most famous archeological sites in the world. It is also known as the Rose Red city, a name that came from the wonderful colour of the rocks its surroundings. The timeless charm in combination with the historical background, made Petra the best place in Jordan where our couple chose to take their engagement photos.Walking through the Sik, the main road that lies between the city’s rose coloured mountains, which stand at a height of 80m, James & Charlie were more than excited. We reached the Treasury, or Al khazneh, which, according to the local legend, conceals a pharaoh’s treasure.Walked up to the Bar Al Sik and admired the wild beauty of the whole site.Happy faces, laughter and lots of hugs was all we needed for some beautiful pictures. Everything seems easy going when you are in an awesome location with an amazing couple. We drove many hours and walked many miles but it so, so worth it. Petra, you are a lifetime experience.
