New haircut

Much to his mother's despair, Levi decided he wanted to cut his hair bald 😅We looked for some images of short cuts on the internet the day before to show him, without necessarily shaving everything as he was sure he wanted (Not that it would be a problem to shave, but for him who always had fuller hair, maybe opting for a longer short so that the impact is not too great for him)And he chose to cut it like this. A little “hair on the ruler”.Hair grows, who has never had a cut they regretted?! But I don't think a 5-year-old child has much discernment about this, he could regret it bitterly and only realize that the idea of cutting from scratch wasn't as good as he imagined after there was no way back...The important thing is that he loved his short hair and even says he cut it “bald” because of all the hair he removed.We have always given him a lot of autonomy, since he was little. But in this case of hair and in some other situations where we prune (literally) I wondered if we did it right.Deep down, I don't think we should have interfered and let him scratch at zero like he initially wanted. What is the line between the “wants” of a young child and the “not allowing” of “protective” parents?
