I won't lie, these days we are in now are not easy for the wedding photographers. No weddings mean no traveling, no meeting new people, no adrenaline for me. Please do not get me wrong I am not moaning because I know that a lot of people are in a way more difficult situation. Me and my family, close friends – all healthy and alive, and I am very grateful for this.
To keep my spirits up and make you smile, I would like to share one story from the last year that helped me today to get away from negative thoughts. I would love to have a time machine and travel back to the day then Mark & Victoria said 'I do' to each other at Park Hyatt Washington DC. Today it looks so silly that I wasn't very enthusiastic about the freezing weather... And it may sound very banal to you, but today I would give anything (it feels like) for the opportunity to do what I love – shoot weddings. Sensitive Mark's approach and Victoria's bright laughter created such positive energy from the very first taken picture that morning. If you asked me today what is the most important ingredient for a good wedding, I would say family and friends who know how to celebrate your love and have a good laugh. Of course, a handsome groom and lovely bride always are a good add on.
