—Yes ;)

—Hoe bent u beland in de fotografie-industrie?

—When I studied photo-design in Munich in 2007, one good friend of mine and photographer told me to try myself as wedding photographer. At that time, I have already photographed several weddings.

—Wat zijn volgens u de belangrijkste elementen van een goede foto?

—It's the specific view of the photographer, how he transfers the feelings and emotions.

—Houdt u van reizen?

—Yes, I do. Beside the wedding photography I also specified in the art photography. For those images I mostly travel and look for special moments and bizarre scenes. You can see my works here: www.juliasmirnova.com/

—Wat vindt u het leukst aan uw beroep?

—I like the creative aspect, the independence.
I like to work and getting to know new people.

—Wat vindt u het minst leuk aan uw beroep?

—The heavy equipment ;)

—Wat ziet u de toekomst van fotografie?

—I think, the presentation will get more interactive.
The emotional aspect of photography will be always very important.
The photographic language will be more and more important.
The photography will get more and more individualistic.

—Wat is er bijzonder aan het fotografiegenre waarin u zich specialiseert?

—The photographer has to be prepared for any situation, and have to react very fast: you cat't repeat most of the moments.

—Hoe gaat u om met kritiek?

—If it is a healthy criticism, then I think about the critics.

—Zijn er bepaalde trends in fotografie?

—Individualism is getting more and more important. (Some particular photographer with his own style).

—Welke criteria moet de klant hanteren bij het kiezen van een fotograaf?

—First, it is the portfolio of the photographer.
The couple has to like the images and the style. Second is the personal aspect, when the couple meet the photographer.

—Wat is er totaal uit den boze bij het fotograferen?

—To talk on the phone with other clients.

—Welke details die vaak onopgemerkt gaan, kan een fotograaf vastleggen?

—Moments and details

—Wat beïnvloedt de waarde van een foto? Wat zijn de elementen ervan?

—it's the emotional aspect, again ;)

—Welke persoon kan volgens u symbool staan voor de 21e eeuw?

—I think, those are happenings and not particular person

—Wie wil u graag fotograferen?

—interesting people with character

—Heeft u bepaalde taboes op professioneel vlak?

—In wedding photography: don't talk on the phone with other people/clients; don't drink (max. one prosecco or wine)

—Met wie zou u graag fotograferen?

—I prefer to shoot alone, or to work with someone whom I know.

—Waar maakt u zich zorgen over en waarom?

—I think sometimes about the mankind in general and where it will be in some years.

—Wat is het meest indrukwekkende moment van uw leven?

—There are many.
For example when I got the Munich Photography Award in 2013.

—Als u een personage van een cartoon, boek of film was, wie zou u dan zijn?

—I like the squirrel in Ace Age ;)

—Wie inspireert u in uw leven en waarom?

—The most inspirations I get from the world around me and everyday things.

—Hoe definieert u succes? Hoe meet u het?

—For me success is when I'm recognized in my work, and when I reach y goals. When I'm satisfied with myself.

—Bent u liever graag gezien of gerespecteerd?

—The people who know me longer – both.
