Interview
-
—Bent u fotogeniek?
—In 99% of the cases I am at the other end of the camera, so it's hard to say :)
-
—Hoe bent u beland in de fotografie-industrie?
—I was the victim of a friend's request, after which I kept being passed around and the circle became wider and wider. I have a colourful personality though, besides wedding photography I like to venture into the more artistic side of my profession.
-
—The right subject(s), according history and to capture the unique moment.
-
—Houdt u van reizen?
—I do! I think I have a "travel-gene" somewhere in me, I pass by a dozen places throughout the year, be it for work or holiday purpouses.
When it concerns work, it is usually Spain, Malta and Cyprus that are top of the list, but I hope this range will widen further. -
—At weddings, it is to allow the couples to relive their most important, most beautiful memories, getting them into fun situations which they are very gratful for – I like it when they thank me for my work and I can see the confirmation in their eyes that I have performed at least at a 100%.
I also like my clients' positive feedback on my ideas and their adherence towards me -
—That there is sometimes not enough time for a project :(
-
—Wat ziet u de toekomst van fotografie?
—Uniqueness, creativity, motivation
-
—A fantastic location (which is given at many a mediterranean country), the couples' personal attitude/style and lots&lots of creative ideas!
-
—Hoe gaat u om met kritiek?
—Pretty well! If it's constructive criticism and useful when thought through, then I will definitely integrate it into my daily work.
-
—Zijn er bepaalde trends in fotografie?
—Thankfully – and at the same time, unfortunately – yes.
-
—- the pictures and their style
- the personality of the photographer (to meet in person in advance is paramount!)
- flexibility
- finally, the price/performance -
—I have not yet encountered a situation like this – perhaps I am lucky? :)
-
—In this line of work we often have to look ahead in certain situations, we need to notice an important moment before it actually happens. Coherent events, the outburst or even withholding of emotions, a look – overall multiple facets that merge into one single scene.
-
—Talk with colleagues, putting up new experiences.
-
—Share moments, emotions, and – if it doesn't concern weddings,- depict my own emotions and gorgeous landscapes
-
—I'd like to visit as many places as possible, create extraordinary material to still my hunger for perfection
-
—I do not regret anything...
-
—Wanneer bent u helemaal tevreden over uw werk?
—When I see that an album receives a bright smile even at the second viewing.
Non-wedding relatedly: a direct second order, an honest compliment. -
—Maakt u gemakkelijk vrienden?
—I'm an instant blender :)
-
—Waar zou u graag wonen?
—Near the sea
-
—Is er een leven na het huwelijk?
—I have not tried it yet ;)
-
—Houdt u van honden of van katten?
—Dogs are not just with you out of interest, I respect and love them more, but I am ok with cats too.
-
—Hi, would you like to grab a beer? :D
-
—Morgen zal ik ... doen
—...nothing, just sleep long and deep for a change:)
