Richard and Adeline's Wedding Photoshoot in Morocco

One of the things we love most about what we do is the couples we get to meet from all around the world. As Morocco continues to boom as a tourist destination we find ourselves getting to work with such a fun variety of couples. Adeline first reached out to us when she and her fiance Richard were planning their holiday in Morocco. Recently engaged, Richard and Adeline will be getting married next March in Singapore, where they are both from. This was their first trip to Morocco and they decided to also use it as an opportunity to get some engagement photos and document their experiences in Morocco. We met up with them during their stays in Marrakech and Essaouira to do a photoshoot. For both photoshoots makeup artist and hairstylist, Anna Ayshara, did Adeline’s hair and makeup and accompanied us during the photoshoots to make any touch-ups or adjustments. For their Marrakech photoshoot we started with a few photos in the medina and then went to Jardin Majorelle. The infamous blues and yellows of the garden were a fun backdrop for Richard and Adeline’s formal wedding look. From there we headed to Le Jardin Secret where there is some beautiful tile work and Moroccan architecture. We made a little pit stop at Cafe Atay as they have a beautiful rooftop view of the medina. We enjoyed a little break over juice and snacks and Richard and Adeline showed us their photos from their proposal in Bali and retold us the story! We captured some more fun medina photos on our way back to the car. The medina also presents fun photo opportunities and ways to be creative. Richard and Adeline were always up for whatever we suggested! Our last stop for the day was at the Marrakech palmeraie for sunset. These photos are probably my favorite from the day. I mean, the #palmeraie, #camels, #sunset, #beautiful couple in wedding attire...what is not to love?! The camel even behaved and it was a gorgeous sunset. We love the mix of romantic photos and just fun candid shots of Richard and Adeline. It was the perfect way to end a fun day of shooting! We met up with them again two days later, this time in Essaouira. Essaouira is one of my favorite cities in Morocco and its laidback seaside vibe is such a contrast to the hustle and bustle of the red city (Marrakech). We started the photoshoot at their riad, Salut Maroc. The decor and colors at Salut Maroc are so unique and made for a really fun backdrop. If you’re looking for a cool place to stay in Essaouira we’d definitely recommend that you check them out! From there we explored the medina, taking advantage of Essaouira’s alley’s and beautiful doors. After Richard and Adeline made an outfit change, we went to ramparts for some photos and then down to the harbor and the beach. We ended at sunset right near the walls of the medina along the ocean. We love this spot and we were treated to another beautiful sunset, this time over the ocean. We had so much fun getting to know Richard and Adeline and we love how the photos capture some of their experiences in Morocco!#Morocco #moroccanweddingphotographer #weddingphotography #marrakech #pre-wedding #Essaouira
