A gorgeous beach wedding and a golf match at Verdura Resort, Sicily

Verdura is an outstanding location, with a landscape of 230 acres, a stunning backdrop of the sparkling Mediterranean Sea, rolling green hills with olive and orange groves, and a golf course that drapes the landscape.
Nina and Jamie had planned everything down to the smallest detail a year in advance. After a thrilling round of golf on the Mediterranean, gourmet breakfasts, and a laughter-filled preparation, the celebration was magical, and the affection of all their loved ones was palpable. The couple chose the symbolic ritual of sand for their seaside wedding in Sicily. A charming symbolic wedding ceremony, originally from Hawaii, representing the eternal union of two people. The newlyweds pour sands of different colors into a single container, symbolizing the fusion of their lives and their inseparability, creating a lasting memory.
Nina was a lively, tireless bride. The bride's maid prepared the Korovai (Каравай): More than a cake, it is a large wedding bread decorated with symbols of fertility and prosperity (flowers, ears of wheat). Traditionally, the newlyweds take a bite at the entrance to the party; whoever takes the largest piece will be the leader of the family. At golden hour, as the sun was about to set behind the sea, guests at the beautiful seaside restaurant Amare shared their thoughts and anecdotes, moving everyone. After a candle ritual to remember those who were no longer physically there, and the fireworks over the sea, the evening continued with music and wild dancing. While everyone was enjoying music, the bride kidnapping took place. In modern Russian, this is usually a symbolic and playful ritual, called
vykup nevesty, which takes place during wedding celebrations. Friends of the groom "kidnap" the bride, and the groom must pay a ransom or pass trials to get her back.
Ita has been a wonderful adventure.
